Nigeria Picks Wins In Opening Two Kwibuka 2022 Cricket Fixtures In Kigali To Lead Table

Nigeria’s female cricket team have picked up two back to back wins in their opening fixture of the 2022 Kwibuka Women’s T20 tournament currently holding in Kigali, Rwanda.

In the first game, with Brazil scoring 53 runs, Nigeria was able to win by 8 wickets, getting 56 runs after winning the toss and electing to field first.

The fixture saw a women’s T20I debut for Rukayat Abdulrasaq for Nigeria even as Favour Eseigbe picked up the players of the match award.

The second game which took place at the IPRC Cricket Ground, Kigali, Nigeria defeat Germany by 5 wickets. The female yellow greens of Nigeria won the toss and like the previous game, elected to field, which saw the Germans 78 runs with the loss of 6 wickets.

Nigeria top the eight-nations table with 4points, same as defending champions Kenya with the next opponent for Nigeria being Botswana, by 1:30pm on Saturday, 11th June, 2022 at the IPRC Cricket Ground, Kigali on day three of the tournament.
