The forty six clubs for the new football league season in the Nigeria National League,NNL have been told to ensure complete adherence and compliance to registration obligations, formalities and collection of players licences before the start of the Season,or forfeit participation in the League.
Wednesday 20 November,2019 was before now fixed as deadline to complete such formalities.
Issuing this stern warning, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the next important League in Nigeria, Lawrence Katken said this has become imperative following several reminders circulated to the clubs and the need to forestall further delay in the commencement of the NNL for the 2019/2020 fresh season.
“We are pained to take this stand after sending five reminders to clubs on the need to do the needful to enable the NNL kick off as scheduled,we urge them to come forward and complete their club and players registration formalities “
“In any League, a club and player is considered duly eligible to participate when it has met registration demands, we have had to shift the League to give them ample time to meet up, and we can no longer keep shifting the kick off date, this is detrimental to the growth of the League.
Katken, emphatically declared that there will be no going back on the Friday 22nd November kick off date earlier scheduled, noting that Clubs who fail to meet with the registration of their clubs and players should consider themselves automatically withdrawn from the League.
The teams will play in the Northern and Southern Conferences broken into abridged divisions of A & B for the new season.
