Nigeria Lose To Morocco In Preparatory Friendly Ahead of Africa Nations Cup

Nigeria handball male team were defeated by Morocco in a preparatory friendly towards the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nation on Saturday in Grombalia, Tunisia

The national handball male team, who are in Tunisia for a training camp in preparation towards the Africa Cup of Nations in the same country, were defeated by Morocco 29-22.

According to the secretary general of the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) Alhaji Maigidansanma Mohammed, this is the first of the preparatory friendly matches put together by the Sam Ocheho led board to ensure that Nigeria do well in the most important handball championship in Africa which also stands as a qualifier for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic.

Meanwhile, HFN Technical Director, Coach Ferdinand Emeana, who is with the team in Tunisia, revealed that Nigeria will play a Tunisian top flight handball club Club Benikhair on Wednesday in preparation for the nations cup.

They are also expected to play Cameroun and DR Congo before hostilities in Nation Cup commences on January 16.

Nigeria will play in group B alongside Angola, Gabon and Libya.
