The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) took a significant step forward on Tuesday as it officially onboarded Premium Trust Bank as the Official Bank of the NFF and the National Teams. The landmark partnership was unveiled during a vibrant signing ceremony held in the Federal Capital, Abuja.
Nigerian Football Federation President, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau MON, announced that the agreement would span four years, with Premium Trust Bank committing N300 million annually to the football governing body.

This sum is set to increase by 10% each year, bringing the total value of the deal to over N1.3 billion. Gusau expressed his gratitude to the bank for its remarkable support and dedication to Nigerian sports, particularly in its short existence of under three years.
“We are thrilled to associate with Premium Trust Bank, a company that has shown incredible enthusiasm and commitment to nurturing Nigerian youth from the grassroots to stardom,” Gusau remarked.
He further assured Nigerians that the NFF remains fully committed to elevating Nigerian football in every aspect and called on other corporate entities to follow Premium Trust Bank’s example by supporting the nation’s football initiatives.
Emmanuel Emefienim CON, Managing Director/CEO of Premium Trust Bank, highlighted the bank’s strategic involvement in sports, listing their partnerships with the Athletic Federation of Nigeria, support for world record holder Tobi Amusan, and sponsorship of the National Sports Festival, among others.
Emefienim emphasized the bank’s belief in the private sector’s role in providing platforms for youth development and expressed confidence that their entry into football sponsorship would elevate Nigeria’s footballing standards.
The ceremony was attended by key figures from both the NFF and Premium Trust Bank, including Alhaji Sharif Rabiu Inuwa, Alhaji Babagana Kalli, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi MON, and other senior officials from both organizations. This partnership is set to usher in a new era of support and development for Nigerian football at all levels.
