Nigeria Football Coaches Association releases its Official Statement

The Executive of Nigeria Football Coaches on Saturday (December 5th) released its Official Statement and this was done online.

The Exco Appreciated Nigeria Football Federation for the release of Palliative funds to cushion the effect of COVID 19 on the activities of the Association, the appointment of some of our members as Coaches of the various national teams both male and female, and the appointment to serve in various capacities of the technical department.

The Exco Wishes its President who is the Head Coach of Nigeria under 20 (Flying Eagles) and the entire team best of luck in Benin Republic for the WAFU B Tournament.
The Exco also wishes its General Secretary the best of luck ahead of his team’s match Rivers United FC against Futuro Kings De Mokongomo of Equatorial Guinea in CAFCC in PH on Sunday.
AGA LOC Five man Committee was set up, which consist of:
~Victor Nwakama (Chairman)
~Mansur Abdullahi (Secretary)
~Diana Asak (Member)
~John Obuh (Member)
~Etta Egbe (Member).

The Committee starts work immediately. Terms of reference are
i. To Work on the release of funds.
ii. Possible date for the Congress.
iii. Preparations of logistics for the Congress.
iv. Any other related issues.

The Palliatives are:

#100,000 for states who are up to date and others who are not their affiliation will be deducted with a penalty, that is; those owing one year will be paid #70,000 that is #20,000 for their affiliation and #10,000 for the penalty.

While those owing 2 years will be paid #40,000 that is #40,000 for 2 years affiliation and #20,000 as a penalty.

The PRO is directed to issues a press release confirming the receipt of Seven million six Hundred thousand (7.6m) as palliative funds from the Nigeria Football Federation and to express her immense gratitude to the Federation for this laudable gesture.

The Exco appeal to NFF to revisit the issue of Licencing of every Practising Football Coach in Nigeria and facilitate the resumption of CAF Coaching courses in Nigeria.

The Exco also adopted that the Secretariat should communicate to the various state chapters to encourage their members to participate in the Berakiah and FCAAN Capacity building / Grassroots Coaching / Coaching education program which are endorsed by the Nigeria Football Federation and Nigeria Football Coaches Association.

The Exco also confirmed the receipt of correspondence from Akwa Ibom and Taraba states on the dissolution of their Exco and approved their up coming elections under the caretaker committees.

The Exco Congratulated the new Executive officers elected in Oyo state.

The Exco Called on all the states to implement the use of the unique logo of the association
The Exco Called on all states Chairmen to ensure that all registered members carry the national ID Cards, as all other ID cards used by states are invalid henceforth.
