Nigeria Football Coaches Association Join Forces With Berackiah Coaching Clinic To Train Grassroots Coaches In Oyo State 

Nigeria Football Coaches Association Oyo State Chapter in partnership with Berackiah International has against this backdrop set to further equip grassroots coaches in the state with modern trends and facilities in football coaching clinic.

According to the Nigeria Football Coaches Association Training Officer in the Pace Setters State who doubles as the Coordinator ,Shooting Stars Football Academy, Coach Adeyemo Ayodeji Charles noted that the Coaching Clinic is designed to capture coaches in and around the 33 Local Government Areas of the state.

He stressed that Berackiah Grassroot Football Coaching Clinic has arrived in the ancient city of Ibadan to tutor their members having moved round different states in Nigeria.

Adding that it is now the turn of Oyo State while also using the occasion to charge the grassroots Football coaches in the state to strive more in educating themselves so as to make them produce marketable players for the nation and of course the global space.

It would be recalled that the Executives of the NFCA Signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Thursday, 8th of June,2023, wherein coaches from grassroot in the pace Setters State will have opportunity to get  certificated through the clinic as the Local Government Chairmen will be allowed to sponsor at least 20 coaches each for the course.

The Senators, Federal House of Reps, Commissioners are not left out in the programme.

Having secured the express approval of the NFF and some eminent football coaches such as High Chief Adegboye Onigbinde, former Super Eagles Head Coach and a FIFA/CAF retired instructor led other qualified resource persons earlier in the year in other part of the country: coach Adesina Asunmo, King Emmanuel, Moses, Alphonsus Dike, John Obuh, Maikaba Fagge, Justin Madugu, Haruna Usman Ilerika, Evans Ogenyi and host of others for the NLO training project the attention is now shifted to the Pace Setters State to cascade the modern day with a computer analytical knowledge to the participants.

The Chairman ,Nigeria Football Coaches Association, Oyo State chapter, Coach Akinola Olatunji hinted that 20 coaches from each local government will have opportunity to participate in the training as they have the documents duly signed by the ALGON partnering Berackiah Grassroot Football Coaching Clinic to that effect.

He solicited government support from Local Government, Senator, Federal Reps, Club Owners, Academy Directors and of course individuals to sponsor grassroots Football coaches in their constituency, domains and clubs.

Addressing the media on Thursday at Housing Estate, Bodija, Ibadan, the facilitator who doubles as CEO, Berackiah Grassroot Football Coaching Clinic, Mr Wonders Nwigwe Nduka said:

“The results are evident at various training courses held across different states of the Federation as we have a great deal of success in the football clinic project at the NLO , South East and South South. All is now set to shift attention to Oyo State for the grassroots Football coaches domiciled in the state”.

“It is also good to bear in mind that the league body will sanction any coach who wants to be in any of the tiers of the league to get certificated before the year runs out. This is an opportunity and it’s an all-encompassing program as psychology and other administrative strategies will be an integral part as well.”

Wonders added that coaches in the South West particularly Oyo State are eager to learn new coaching skills from the resource persons coming from Europe and get more viable ideas for the profession”.

The registration is to all grassroots coaches in and outside the state and the registration will close on the 15th of October, 2023 while the course will commence on the 23rd -27th October in Ibadan Centre. Then, Oke-Ogun centre will begin on 30th -3rd November, 2023.
