After Bucknor Football Club of Igando conceded 1-11 against Beyond Limit Football Academy of Remo in a friendly match played on Tuesday,
Bucknor team manager,Habeeb Abidemi Adebowale confessed that his players have learned their lesson in hard way.
The friendly match held on Tuesday afternoon at the Remo stadium,Shagamu,Ogun State.
Speaking with sports247.ng Adebowale admitted that his opponents played better and they deserved the victory.
“It was a game of football.I congratulate Beyond Limit for this victory because they were too much for us to handle non the field of play.I know our fans in Lagos and Nigeria at large would be disappointed about the outcome of the result but we need to move on.I believe that the coaching crew and players ought to have learnt one lesson or the other in the friendly Match,”he said.
Adebowale said their scandalous defeat was caused by the attitude.of his players saying that time has come for players to see football as profession not hobby.
“Our attitude towards the game is another factor that contributed to our biggest defeat since the club was formed.There are some players who take this football of a things for granted so the result we got in Remo showed that some players need to wake up or they should forget playing football,”he added.
Bucknor are currently occupy first position in their group in the ongoing Ikeja league championship.
