The Nigeria Cricket Federation has officially revealed the 15-man squad for the national men’s senior cricket team, fondly known as the Yellow Greens.

This lineup is set to compete in the upcoming 2024 ICC T20 World Cup qualifiers, scheduled to take place in Namibia from November 20 to December 1. The squad announcement was made by PUNCH Sports Extra.
Head coach Steve Tikolo will lead the team into the qualifiers with the same group of players who clinched victory at the West Africa Trophy in Lagos just last month.
The squad boasts an array of talented cricketers, with Captain Sylvester Okpe at the helm.
The team’s roster includes Ademola Onikoyi, Sesan Adedeji, Chiemelie Udekwe, Daniel Ajekun, Joshua Asia, and Akhere Isesele.
Among the players, Isaac Okpe, who was named the Most Valuable Player during the West Africa Trophy, and Peter Aho, a former Guinness World record holder for the fastest bowling figure, will lend their formidable skills to the squad.

The lineup is completed by Prosper Useni, Taiwo Muhammed, Isaac Danladi, Ridwan Abdulkareem, opening batter Sulaimon Runsewe, and Ashmit Shrestha.
Following their impressive victory at the inaugural West Africa Trophy, where they secured victory in all ten matches, the Yellow Greens initiated preparations for the World Cup qualifiers in Lagos. Subsequently, they embarked on the final phase of their training in Zimbabwe.
The team is scheduled to participate in a series of test games in Zimbabwe as part of their rigorous preparation regimen before traveling to Namibia for the qualifiers.
In the lead-up to the tournament, Nigeria’s opponents have also revealed their squads and are actively engaging in training tours to ensure a highly competitive ICC T20 World Cup qualifiers event.
