The organisers of this year’s Bankers Games have received a rain of praises from one of the competitors, Kutu Sade, who won a silver medal in the women’s 400m race.
Although Kutu admitted afterwards that she set her eyes on winning gold before the race began, the representative of Wema Bank conceded that placing second was equally good enough.
Kutu Sade told sports247.ng after her breathtaking race that it was not easy, and then gave thanks to God for helping her pull through.
“I came second, so I got a silver medal. It’s awesome, but requires a lot of energy and endurance.
“It was tough, but I was able to pull through; and I thank God for that.
“I came here with a mindset of winning a gold medal but, along the line, I tried.
“I did all I could, but I came second; and I’m grateful for it.
“The organisers are awesome, and the event is nice. Everything has been good.
“The planning, the outcome and the officials. Everything is good,” Kutu expatiated.
