Barcelona forward Asisat Oshoala scored two goals as the Super Falcons came from a goal down to win big against Hungarian side, Haladas Viktoria in a friendly to prepare the ladies for the Women’s World Cup in France.
Thomas Dennerby’s ladies went down to an early goal in the 7th minute, after goalkeeper Tochukwu Oluehi accidentally slipped but Chinwendu Ihezuo levelled matters in the 32nd minute after coolly finishing a chance created by Francisca Ordega.
Ordega scored from a corner kick in the 52nd minute to give the team the lead before substitute Oshoala grabbed a quickfire brace in three minutes.
Substitute Ogonna Chukwudi added gloss to the scoreline by grabbing the fifth goal courtesy an assist by Anam Imo to seal the win.
The Super Falcons will face Slovakia in another friendly on Sunday, in a rematch of a fixture they won 4-3 at the Cyprus Women’s Cup in March.
The Women World Cup starts on June 7, with Nigeria kicking off their campaign against Norway on June 8, before facing the Korea Republic in Grenoble on June 12.
They will play their last group stage match against host nation France in Rennes on June 17.
