The management of Niger Tornadoes FC of Minna on Thursday said that it was committed to the welfare of players and coaches for them to perform optimally.
Club Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Aliyu, who made this known during a training session of the team in Minna, said that players and coaches welfare would be `topmost priority’ and ‘nonnegotiable’ under his leadership.
Aliyu expressed satisfaction with the level of commitment exhibited by the players and coaches and urged them to maintain a similar tempo through the pre-season programme and fully into the season.
He assured that in spite of the financial difficulty resulting from the global Coronavirus pandemic the club remained committed to the welfare of players and officials.
Aliyu advised the players and officials to always follow the rules of the game and urged them to pray and support the Federal Government to tackle the current security challenges in Nigeria.
He said that the primary aim of the club in the new season of 2020/2021 is to gain promotion from the current Nigeria National League (NNL) to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Aliyu said that the measure would require maximum commitment and co-operation of players with the technical crew.
