Members of Nigeria’s foremost fans club, the Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC), home, and diaspora have sent a condolence message to the family, friends, and associates of the founder and executive chairman of Complete Communications Limited, Pastor(Dr). Sunny Ojeagbase, who passed on Saturday, aged 71 years.
In the message signed by the National Chairman of NFSC, Ambassador (Rev). Samuel Ikpea, described late Ojeagbase as a legend of Sports journalism, whose life and times have positively impacted the lives of millions of Nigerians.
” Like several other millions of Nigerians, I remain an ardent reader of all the sports titles published by Complete Sports. Even members of the NFSC always took copies of these papers and magazines as companions whenever we’re traveling outside the country in support of our various national teams,” Ikpea revealed.
He went ahead to pray that God grant the family and friends of the late legendary sports journalist, the fortitude, as well as, the spiritual and physical strengths to bear the huge loss.
Conclusively, Ikpea called on the national leadership of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria ( SWAN), particularly, the Lagos state chapter, to declare a day to celebrate the late journalist, as a way of immortalizing him, and to inspire the up and coming generations of sports journalists and sportspreneurs.
