The Nigeria Football Supporters Club has congratulated former NFF President, Alhaji Sani Lulu as he clocks 62 years today. In a message signed by the National Chairman of NFSC, Rev. Samuel Ikpea, it thanked God for keeping the well-loved football administrator alive to this day.
According to Ikpea, the former NFF boss has built a subsisting legacy for Nigeria football over the years. He was particularly effusive in praises for the founder of Fosla Football Club Abuja and Omachi Atah of Igalaland for the unalloyed and fatherly supports the NFSC enjoyed during Lulu’s tenure as Nigeria football boss.
” We are grateful to God for sparing the life of an achiever, motivator, mentor, icon and a detribalised Nigerian. Sani Lulu is a man worthy of celebration by all genuine lovers of football, the stakeholders and the football world in general,” Ikpea remarked gleefully.
He recalled with fond nostalgia, how on several occasions Sani Lulu, as President of NFF, had shown uncommon love and support for the NFSC.
” We can’t forget all he has done for Nigerian football, as well as, the Nigeria football supporters club. I recall that whenever our national teams are playing either home or away games, the man we call ‘Mr.Fix It’, would provide the supporters club with replica jerseys of our national teams.
” This is a good man who has continued to contribute to the development of Nigerian football, as well as, Nigerian youths. On behalf of myself, the executives and members of NFSC home and diaspora, we pray that God will continue to guide, guard and bless him, now and always. May He also bless him with good health and long life, to the benefits of Nigerian football and humanity,” Ikpea prayed.
