Speaking against last weekend’s end of the regular season in both the third-tier Nationwide League One (NLO) and second-tier Nigerian National League (NNL), Majekodunmi said the organisers deserve lots of accolades for jobs well done in their respective championships.
Speaking further in his capacity as the NFF’s youth committee chairman, Majekodunmi conceded that a lot of work still has to be done in the area of grooming and exposing hidden talents to rudiments of the game at early ages of their lives.
Majekodunmi, who is also the chairman of Ogun State Football Association, added: “Nigeria is blessed with bundle of talents, when it comes to the game of football.
“That is why we must keep doing the best from our own level to make sure that they are well motivated. We also manage them and give them the right environment for them to make their talent count.
“While monitoring activities of both leagues, I’ve seen that talents abound in Nigeria. Teams that are coming to the NPFL next season, and those promoted to the NNL, will bring a high rate of competition for those that are already established ones.
“This will also allow more sponsors and investors, even from Europe to keep coming to our league. Congratulations to us all…”
