The 8th year remembrance of former Super Eagles striker, Rashidi Yekini has brought lots of blessings to the Yekini family.
Yekini died on the 4th of May, 2012 after two decades of footballing career.
Yesterday as a sign of recognition, the sport ministry under the leadership of Sunday Dare included late Yekini’s mother on a monthly pay roll of 50,000 and presented her with some commodities.
Today, the Nigerian Football Federation have toed the same line as they announced to have put the mother of Late Yekini on a monthly pay roll of 30,000 naira.
The NFF announced this via this Twitter handle today.
In addition to late Yekini’s mother, just the like the Sport ministry, late Sam Okwaraji’s mother was also put on a monthly pay roll by the federation.
Both players represented Nigeria at major tournament with Okwaraji dieing while on duty with the national team.
