Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have rolled out a new game plan to battle poor refereeing in the country, with special focus on the top-flight league and other national competitions.
This much was revealed to sports247.ng by NFF first vice-president, Barrister Seyi Akinwumni, who said talks are underway at the highest level to fashion out new approaches to curtailing poor officiating of matches in the country.
Akinwunmi hinted that NFF secretary general, Dr Mohammed Sanusi and the president, Melvin Amaju Pinnick are also part of the plan to ensure a new approach is given to refereeing.
Akinwunmi said: “There is a need for us to restructure the refereeing aspect of the game in our league.
“That’s why we in the NFF are primed to be radically different ion how we handle such matter henceforth. We have to adapt a different approach in ensuring that things work for good.”
