The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Gusau, has expressed confidence in the Super Eagles’ prospects at the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
Following the group stage draw that placed Nigeria in Group C alongside Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania, Gusau remarked, “It’s a favorable group, and I’m optimistic we’ll top the table at AFCON 2025.”
Gusau’s optimism is fueled by the team’s recent performances and the progress achieved under the current coaching staff. He emphasized that with thorough preparation and strong teamwork, the Super Eagles are well-positioned to advance beyond the group stage.
The NFF President also reaffirmed the federation’s commitment to supporting the team. “We will provide all the necessary resources to ensure the Super Eagles are fully prepared. We’re confident they’ll make the nation proud,” he stated.
