Constantly improving Nasarawa United center-back, Tebo Franklin, has been invited by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, to join the camp of the Super Eagles’ home-based squad for an international friendly match against Mexico next month.
The 1.90 meters tall no-nonsense defender has been the talk of football lovers across Nigeria as his phenomenal defensive prowess has been sustaining the steady rise of Nasarawa United in the current Nigeria Professional Football League.
Tebo Franklin has so far played 26 matches out of 28 for Nasarawa United this season, totaling 2,340 minutes, scooping six Man-of-the-match awards, and assisting one goal.
Though aggressive on the ball, the lanky central defender has been yellow-carded only once this season.
His Lafia-based team, the Solid Miners, are currently sitting in the 2nd position on the league table with 49 points from 28 games, and Tebo looks poised to helping them finish among the top three teams at the end of the season.
Tebo will report to the Eagles’ camp alongside his counterparts invited from other domestic clubs on Tuesday, 22nd June 2021, with their travel documents, where they will be camped at the Serob Legacy Hotel, Wuye, Abuja, after which twenty-two players will be picked for the trip to the US for the friendly duel.
The Super Eagles versus Mexico international friendly, the sixth match between the two countries, holds at the magnificent 77,500 capacity Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum stadium, California, United States of America on 3rd July 2021, by 7.30 pm, Los Angeles’ time.
The home-based Super Eagles will leave the shores of Nigeria for the United States on 30th June and return on 5th July 2021.
