The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has appointed Abdullahi Isa, a seasoned goalkeeper and former assistant coach of the team, as the new Head Coach of the Supersand Eagles. Joining Isa on the coaching staff are Christopher Kadiri, who will serve as Assistant Coach, and Bashar Samaila, who has been appointed as the Goalkeepers’ Trainer. The Supersand Eagles are set to depart Nigeria on Friday morning for Nouakchott, where they will face Mauritania in a 2024 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match scheduled for Saturday. The team is composed of experienced and talented players, including Victor Tale and Emeka Ogbonna, both of whom bring significant international experience to the squad. Other notable players include Arome Isah, Adams Taiwo, Emmanuel Ohwoferia, Godwin Tale, Egan-Osi Ekujimi, Chidozie Frank, and Hassan Abdullahi.
The return leg of the qualifier is slated for Saturday, 27th July, in Nigeria, where the Supersand Eagles will look to secure their place in the 2024 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations.
