The 22-year-old has set the Bundesliga ablaze this season, displaying his prolific goal-scoring prowess by netting seven goals in just seven appearances.

Boniface’s football journey led him to Bayer Leverkusen, where he was transferred for €20 million from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise during the last transfer window.

Since then, the young forward has flourished, becoming one of Europe’s most feared strikers.

His extraordinary performance, which includes seven goals and two assists in seven Bundesliga games, earned him the Bundesliga Player of The Month and Rookie of The Month awards for August.

Additionally, he received nominations for the Best Player of the Month in September, further solidifying his reputation as an emerging star.

Boniface’s impressive run for Bayer Leverkusen also caught the attention of Nigeria’s national team selectors, resulting in a call-up during the recent international break.

Newcastle United has been closely monitoring Boniface’s development, deploying scouts to observe his performance while representing the Super Eagles in Portugal during the last international break.

Although he didn’t find the net, Boniface proved to be a relentless force, creating havoc for Saudi Arabia’s defense and even forcing an own goal.

Newcastle’s manager, Eddie Howe, is particularly keen on adding physicality to his forward line, recognizing Boniface as a top target who could complement existing talents like Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson.

The Magpies, presently occupying the eighth position in the Premier League standings after eight games, have been prolific in front of the goal, scoring 20 times – a feat surpassed only by Brighton & Hove Albion.

While Newcastle is pursuing Boniface’s signature, they are not alone in their interest. European giants Real Madrid and Liverpool have also reportedly placed the young striker on their wishlists, adding to the intense competition to secure his services.

As Boniface’s stock continues to rise in the world of football, Newcastle United’s interest in the Nigerian sensation demonstrates their commitment to strengthening the squad and adding attacking firepower.

The competition for Boniface’s signature suggests that a bidding war could develop among interested clubs, ultimately determining the next destination for the prolific young striker.
