Chelle, who recently took charge of the Nigerian national team, has made it clear that “business as usual” is over. His administration will put an end to unnecessary distractions that have, in the past, affected the players’ concentration during national team duties.

Stricter Regulations in the Super Eagles Camp

According to the new guidelines, there will be:

✅ No unauthorized access to players – Bloggers, content creators, corporate solicitors, and other individuals who have in the past loitered around the camp for personal gains will no longer be tolerated.

✅ No phones during training – Players will be expected to fully focus on their sessions without distractions from social media or calls.

✅ Restricted media access – Only accredited journalists will be allowed in designated areas and will not be permitted to conduct random interviews outside approved media engagements.

✅ No roaming around players’ hotels – Unnecessary visits to the team’s lodging will be strictly prohibited to ensure players get adequate rest and preparation.

Chelle emphasized the importance of discipline and structure in achieving success, stressing that the team’s environment must reflect a professional footballing culture.

“We are about to experience what a proper camp should look like. This is about maintaining order, structure, and discipline to ensure the best possible performance from the players,” Chelle stated.

With these measures in place, fans and stakeholders can expect a more focused Super Eagles squad as they prepare to battle Zimbabwe on March 25 in Uyo.
