The new Lagos State Football Association headed by Mr. Fuad Oki, at the Association’s inaugural Extra General Assembly, has approved
the provision of Local Football Councils in line with directive of the NFF as part of efforts to deepen Football development at the Grassroots.
The extra ordinary Congress also as part of the wider reconciliation efforts, has mandated and approved for the LSFA Executive Committee to increase the number of
Senatorial representatives in the Executive Committee from 3 to 4 representatives per Senatorial District levels pursuant to the LSFA Statutes to immediately take effect.
The Congress implored all stakeholders interested in being part of LSFA Executive Committee to subject themselves to and come through the legitimate electoral process as outlined in the statutes and assures all parties of the support of the football family; provided they assume their positions through the legitimate process.
The Congress further approved for the Executive Committee to take all necessary steps and actions to conduct elections into the Local Football Councils, State Executive Committee, and all other outstanding election at
Divisional levels within forty-five (45) days of the Congress.
The Congress also approved new LSFA Logo, alongside budget cycle from June -July.
The congress approved the appointment of Appeal Committee and Electoral Committee to conduct Elections into the newly established and outstanding seats at the Divisional levels.
The congress approved the formation of a number of Standing Committees aimed to help in the effective administration of the Lagos FA, there are;
The Congress mandated the Executive Committee to ensure the commencement of all football programmes, including the Junior League, Ibile Cup, Street Soccer Tournament, Principal Cup and Oba Cup, and directed the relevant LSFA standing committees to appropriate support in this .
The Standing Committees newly established include; the Technical Committee, the Security Committee and Women Football committee.
Others are School Games Committee, Finance Committee, Internal Audit Committee, Youths Committee, Referee’s. Committee, Legal Committee, Merger Committee, Players Status Committee, Marketing Committee Protocol Committee, Strategic Committee, Media Committee, Ethics Committee & Fairplay Committee.
The Lagos FA chairman pronounced that if the Footballer’s Union refuses to resolve their matter, the Association will not relate with the Union.
