In the brief media interactive session, the chairman of the committee stated that after a very long time of anything put together in book form regarding the exploits of the most successful football club in the country and to a very large extent, the continent, it was apt to see a concise collection of details put in book form in the name of Rangers and the man behind the resurgence after over three decades, H.E, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the governor of Enugu state.
“We are here to talk about the new book on Rangers, ‘The New Dawn’ that will be launched on April 30, 2021. It’s all about the club, Rangers. It’s all about the sterling achievements of H.E, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the governor of Enugu state with Rangers in his two-term as the number one citizen of the state. It’s all about getting the public to be in the know of this groundbreaking event that is like no other,” stated the vastly experienced football administrator.
In his submission, the author of the five chapters’ book, Ojengwa, said that he was motivated to document the exploits of the club after the 2016 NPFL league triumph of Rangers after over three decades of near-misses stressing, “History won’t forgive me if nothing is put down in book form to capture what the feeling was during the groundbreaking victory of 2016 in the Nigerian top flight and the 2018 Aiteo cup win in Asaba under the able leadership of the governor of Enugu State, H.E, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. This book is what I call a compendium of achievements by the club and the government of the day. It is a book I will encourage every sports lover to get and keep.”
The writer of the book promised that the club’s numerous fans and supporters all over the world would soon have the privilege of having the soft copy online through a dedicated account after the book launch.
Barrister Ferdinand Ugwuarua, a member of the committee and administrative secretary of Rangers in his submissions said, “This is a book that has been well written with facts, figures, and images to help in increasing the fan base of the club. The book carefully links the past to the present with a positive view into the future.”
