Wilfred Ndidi put in a top notch performance as Leicester City lost 1-0 against Manchester City at Etihad Stadium on Monday.
The Foxes put in a very good defensive show and that was in no small part to Ndidi – who was outstanding on the night.
The 22-year-old defensive midfielder had 74 touches, 52 total passes, 90 percent passing accuracy and won 100 percent of his aerial duels in the game.
Meanwhile, Kelechi Iheanacho replaced James Maddison in the 80th minute as Leicester searched for the equalizer but the Nigeria international ended the night on a sorry note as he wasted the biggest chance of the game in the 87th minute.
“He should score, I said that to him afterwards, in the big games there are not many moments,” Leicester coach Brendan Rodgers stated after the game.
Iheanacho has scored just a single Premier League goal this season, but will hope to correct his mistake when the Foxes entertain Chelsea in their last game of the season.
