A board member of Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF), Oludare Ayemola has enthused that the body’s recently launched mobilisation programme will favour all parts of the country.
Though the programme was ignited in Abuja only, Ayemola told sports247.ng that efforts are already on take it nationwide.
With that target in mind, the NCF top shot predicted that the recent flag off in Abuja will soon lead to expansions of the programme.
Ayemola further told sports247.ng that three states from each zone of the country will benefit from the programme.
He disclosed that the next port of call will be simultaneously done in Nasarawa, Plateau and Benue States next week.
Ayemola posited: “The NCF mobilization program is targeted at taking cricket to secondary schools in the country.
“We are taking cricket round the country, touching many schools as we go along, as a way of grassroots development of the sport.
“We will touch three states from each zone in the country, and the NCF will ensure that it is a continuous project of the current board.”
