As part of its activities to herald the new season, the board of Nationwide League One NLO has fast-tracked its readiness for the 2020/2021 league season by approving 24 match centers for the zonal league.
The NLO in a release to all participating teams adopted zonal competitions for the 2020/2021 season due to the current financial situations in the country, the risk of Covid-19 ravaging the world, and to meet the time frame stipulated by NFF to complete the season.
The management of the biggest league in Africa equally mandated clubs to affiliate with their state FAs and get incorporated with Corporate Affairs Commission CAC in order to comply with global best practices.
With a mooted date for the commencement of the league slated for the 10th of February 2021, the board has approved a coaching clinic for the Nationwide League One Campaigners. The actual date for the commencement of the league would therefore be decided during the Annual General Meeting which comes up before February runs out.
The Nationwide League One has therefore selected 8 venues across six geo-political zones for the league.
