As the countdown to the 2024 National Youth Games intensifies, Team Lagos has arrived in Oshogbo, Osun State, for the South West Zonal Elimination Ball Games.
The Team Lagos athletes and their officials touched down this afternoon after a smooth journey, ready to compete in a variety of sports.

From August 29th to 31st, teams from Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Oyo, Ekiti, and Ondo states will compete in football, handball, basketball, volleyball, beach volleyball, Abula, cricket, and hockey in Oshogbo.
The objective is to secure a spot in the national games scheduled to be held in Asaba.
The Lagos Rugby Team, already having secured their place in the national finals, did not make the trip with the rest of the delegation. Their qualification was confirmed ahead of these zonal games.
The athletes are brimming with anticipation as they prepare for the competitions. The Zonal Elimination will see intense matches, with each state vying to showcase their talent and secure a regional representation at the national level. TheTeam Lagos event marks a crucial step in the journey towards the National Youth Games and highlights the growing enthusiasm for youth sports across the South West region.
