Athletes and officials of Team Lagos arrived Asaba, capital of Delta State, ahead of their participation at the 7th National Youth Games.

The contingent led by the management staff of the Lagos State Sports Commission, arrived Asaba on Thursday and lodged at their accommodations at the Dennis Osadebe University.
Competing Lagos will be represented by 299 athletes and compete for honors in 33 individual and team sports events, during the National Youth Games for participants who are 15 years and under.
4,500 athletes from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja are participating in fiesta which feature no fewer than 35 sports.
Screening, accreditation and technical meetings continue on Friday while the opening ceremony will hold on Saturday at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba.

The competition proper will also commence on Saturday across multiple venues in the Delta State capital. The games will climax with the closing ceremony September 30.
