Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) secretary-general, Mallam Adamu Maikano has disclosed that the body has quickly turned its attention on next month’s National Sports Festival.
Following their successful organisation of the National Volleyball Premier League last weekend, Maikano told spoorts247.ng that it is total focus now on the festival.
Maikano said they are all happy with their successful organization of the league, which Customs won in both male and female categories, but their work for the year will not end just yet.
The volleyball scribe stated further that, aside preparing for the sports festival, the officials will also commence monitoring of talented players across the country for invitations to the national teams.
Maikano said: “We are happy that we have been able to successfully stage our premier league, so now we can start thinking and planning for the sports festival in Abuja.
“The federation will also be monitoring the state volleyball teams to fish talents who may be drafted to the various national teams that we are trying to revive.”
