No fewer than 60 players are expected to resume Lagos Football Team training next week ahead of zonal elimination of the National Sports Festival 2022.
The zonal elimination for the festival would commence from 3 to 7 October.
Two teams in each region would qualify for the sport festival scheduled for Delta State later in the year.
Team Lagos football coach, Yusuf Adeshina confirmed that 60 players have been invited to join the Team Lagos in preparation for the zonal elimination.
“We have invited 60 players to resume training with us by next week at the Teslim Balogun stadium or FIFA legacy pitch of national stadium.Presently we have sent letters of invitation to the club owners and coaches to release their players to join the team for the early training”he said.
Adeshina however said there is need for early preparation noted that the best players would be selected for the team before the zonal elimination.
“We need to start preparation early so that we can select best for the team.We won the silver in the last festival and we want to win gold medal in Delta this time around,”he said.
