Former director general of defunct National Sports Commission (NSC), Alhassan Yakmut has described as a benchmark of success the return of Nigeria’s National Sports Festival.
With the festival holding once again after a break of six years, Yakmut told sports247.ng he is excited with the development and expressed hope that it can be sustained.
Yakmut stated: “The coming back of the National Sports Festival is a big benchmark of success.
“The fact that the festival’s light has been rekindled is a good omen and sign of better things to come for Nigerian sports.
“I can only hope that the festival will continue to be a platform for talent development in Nigerian sports regularly.”
