Sports minister, Barrister Solomon Dalung is already beating his chest over what he calls a successful 19th National Sports Festival in Abuja, as he says getting the events off the ground at all calls for celebration.
Though there is still a week to run before the closing ceremony of Abuja 2018, Dalung told sports247.ng he is already glad that the ministry’s effort to have the 2019 edition of the festival hold is being realised.
Dalung added that one of the gains from Abuja 2018 is that crime rate in Nigeria will reduce drastically within the duration of the festival and the level of unity in the country will also grow.
‘I am happy that the National Sports Festival is finally holding,” said Dalung.
“It is a gain for all facets of the Nigerian society, as we can see that all networks of unity are being built as a result of the ongoing festival.”
