Nasarawa United kicked off their Gusau/Ahlan Pre-Season Tournament campaign with a commanding 3-0 victory over Ajasta FC at the New Jos International Stadium, Plateau State, on Tuesday morning.

Under the tactical guidance of Coach Usman Adams, the Solid Miners showcased their strength and depth, securing an important win in their opening Group D match.
Right from the start, Nasarawa United took control of the game, dominating possession and creating numerous chances. The breakthrough came in the 34th minute when new signing Shedrack Oghali opened the scoring, calmly finishing a precise cross to put his team ahead.
Coach Adams made a series of substitutions that paid off, particularly with the introduction of Arigo Obes. Obes doubled Nasarawa United’s lead in the 77th minute, finishing off a swift counter-attack with composure. His standout performance throughout the match earned him the Man-of-the-Match award.
The win was sealed in the 85th minute when returning midfielder John Joshua capped off the victory with a cleverly executed dummy finish. The goal reflected the team’s attacking prowess and highlighted their readiness for the challenges ahead.
