Nasarawa United FC’s Captain, King Osanga, has expressed his team’s unwavering determination to maintain their position at the top of Group C in the Nigeria National League (NNL) as they face Wikki Tourists FC in a rescheduled match-day six clash in Bauchi.
After a 2-1 victory over Yobe Desert Stars in their last game, Nasarawa United reclaimed their spot as the leaders of Group C, with Osanga contributing a decisive goal coming off the bench. The captain is now focused on the upcoming challenging encounter against Wikki Tourists FC.

Speaking ahead of the match, Osanga acknowledged the difficulty of the game but emphasized Nasarawa United’s serious approach to every match.
He stated, “Yeah, the game against Wikki Tourists is not going to be easy, but we approach every game seriously because if you want to be promoted to the elite league, there are no underdogs.”
In a highly competitive group where two other teams were in the Premier League last season, including their upcoming opponents, Osanga highlighted the need to win virtually every game to stay at the top.
He emphasized the team’s determination to secure one of the four promotion tickets back to the elite domestic football league.
As Nasarawa United leads Group C with ten points from five games, and Wikki Tourists FC currently sits in fourth place with six points and a game in hand, the stage is set for a crucial encounter.
The match is scheduled for Friday, 22nd December 2023, at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi, kicking off at 3 pm.
