The Solid Miners, as Nasarawa United FC are nicknamed returned to Lafia, the Nasarawa State Capital, on Wednesday, after spending eight days in Abuja for their Pre-Season activities in preparation for the 2023/24 Nigeria National League, NNL, Season.
While in Abuja, the team played a total of nine(9) friendly matches with fellow NNL sides and non-league sides across different venues.
Out of the nine games played, United won six, drew three, and lost none. The team scored fourteen goals while conceding just two, the fewest they have conceded in their recent Pre-Season activities.
The results of the matches are listed below;
Nasarawa United 1-1 King City FC; Dante FA 0-2 Nasarawa United; FC Abuja 0-0 Nasarawa United; Ranzaki FC 0-3 Nasarawa United ; Nasarawa United 2-1 Mailantarki FA; Standard FC 0-0 Nasarawa United; Solid Miners 3-0 Access FA; Yaro Mai-Kyau FA 0-2, and CKD Academy 0-1 Nasarawa United.
Meanwhile, Technical Adviser of the Club, Usman Adams, has disclosed that he and his team are ready for the new football league season.
Adams exclusively made this known to the Club’s Media on Tuesday in Abuja.
According to him, the task of selecting the best legs for the club was herculean as every talent invited proved his mettle, but also noted that the Club could only work with a specific number of players to get it back to the elite domestic football league in the shortest possible period.
The gaffer added that the team would go into another session of rigorous activities upon their return to Lafia to keep them in the best shape for the task ahead.
He appreciated Supporters and Fans of the Club for standing by it, assuring that they would repay their trust in them.
