Nasarawa State Ministry Of Youth And Sports Development Appoints New Nasarawa United Supporters’ Club Leadership

In a significant move aimed at enhancing the performance and image of Nasarawa United Football Club, the Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, led by Honourable Commissioner Jafaru Ango, has appointed a new leadership for the Club’s Supporters’ group.

This decision comes after the dissolution of the previous leadership, whose tenure had expired, making way for fresh faces to drive the agenda of the Solid Miners in the upcoming 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The Honourable Commissioner emphasized that this reformation is part of the State Government’s broader vision to rebrand all aspects of the club and improve its overall operations.

“This new leadership structure will enable more effective and efficient service delivery, aligning with our commitment to take Nasarawa United to greater heights,” said Jafaru Ango.

The newly constituted Supporters’ Club executive consists of nineteen members, with Abdilsalam Abubakar appointed as the Chairman, supported by Sule Yepwi as the Deputy Chairman. Other key appointees include Adamu Dahiru Tasha as the Secretary, Saidu Umar Zanzan as the Assistant Secretary, and Usman Saleh Turaki as the Public Relations Officer (PRO). The diverse team also features members such as Esther Tijani, who will oversee welfare, and Habibu Umaru, assigned as Chief Security Officer, ensuring all facets of support for the team are covered.

The inauguration of the new leadership is scheduled to take place on a date yet to be announced. This new chapter for Nasarawa United’s supporters comes with high expectations as the club looks to leave its mark on the upcoming NPFL season.

“We are confident that this leadership will provide the necessary support the team needs to succeed,” stated Eche Amos, PRO of the Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development.
