The Nasarawa State Football Association, led by Chairman Alhaji Salisu Usman Galadima, paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, H.E Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule.
The visit aimed to congratulate the governor on his recent victory at the Court of Appeal and to outline the football development agenda for the year.

Addressing Governor Sule, Alhaji Salisu Usman Galadima expressed joy over the governor’s recent legal triumph and highlighted the association’s plans for the upcoming year.
He extended congratulations on behalf of the football community in Nasarawa State and commended the governor’s support for the renovation of the new Lafia City Stadium.
“Our visit is to especially appreciate you on the support you are giving to our people, especially in the area of football, particularly on the renovation of the new Lafia City Stadium,” said Alhaji Salisu Usman Galadima.
He went on to detail the administration’s agenda, including plans to sponsor coaches and referees for training, and host various tournaments such as the Governor’s Cup, The Emir’s Cup, Inter Tertiary Institution Cup, and the Inter Local Government Cup.
Additionally, over 427 footballs have been distributed to local teams in Nasarawa State as part of the association’s commitment to football development.
Alhaji Salisu Usman Galadima sought Governor Sule’s support in executing these plans, stating, “In achieving our agenda, we will need your support, and this is a request of a son to his father.”
He also made a personal appeal for the creation of a football house aligned with FIFA/CAF objectives, drawing inspiration from similar initiatives in Kwara State.
Concluding the address, the FA Chairman conveyed a goodwill message from the Benue State Governor, H.E Fr Hyacinth Alia, expressing gratitude for allowing Lobi Stars to utilize the Lafia City Stadium for their NPFL games.
The chairman assured Governor Sule of the association’s continued loyalty and commitment to the development of football in Nasarawa State.
