He addressed this issue during an interview with the Spanish TV program El Chiringuito, following Napoli’s 3-2 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League.
Despite the defeat, De Laurentiis expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance and praised Real Madrid’s strength and style of play.
He also spoke highly of Carlo Ancelotti, Napoli’s coach, describing him as a friend and defending him against criticism from some fans.
Regarding Victor Osimhen, De Laurentiis had only positive remarks. He praised Osimhen’s consistent strength and performance, stating that there are no doubts about his abilities.
When asked about a potential contract extension for the Nigerian striker, De Laurentiis clarified that there is no problem in negotiating a new deal.
He emphasized that players are always content at Napoli, and any issues arise when they depart the club because they struggle to find success elsewhere.
