The National Association of Nigeria Professional Footballers (NANPF) and Community Football Development Initiative (CFF) will debut with the hosting of the NANPF/CFF Community Cup Football Tournament in 17 States in Nigeria, reports Sports247.
According to press release by NANF, The Community Football Tournament is designed to amongst other objectives, create a culture of football density at the grassroots geared towards the facilitation of the establishment of Community/membership Association Ownership Football clubs that are local government based.
The NANPF/CFF Community Football Development Initiative will seve as a most veritable platform for the players union to create greater opportunity for the productive engagement of upcoming Professional Footballers and ex members who are trained coaches and administrators.
The release also revealed that the tournament will kick start in all the local government council areas in 17 States of Nigeria under the supervision of NANPF States Administrative Secretaries, Assistants and appointed NANPF and CFF coordinators in the concerned local government council areas.
The unveiling of the tournament logo and the official union Jersey for players will be held simultaneously in Lagos on a date to be communicated very soon.
