Naija Ratels Defender Adeshina Tunmininu Shares Her Love For Jersey Number 9

For Adeshina Tunmininu wearing jersey number 9 is a matter of just unexplained love for the number even as a defender, Sports247 reports

Number 9 are reserved for strikers but Tunmininu prefers the number out of preference and it has brought her some luck and fortunes.

This is exactly what played out in Lagos on Wednesday at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan where she scored for Naija Ratels from the penalty spot against Robo Queens in the NWFL Premiership Matchday 4.

Though the feisty encounter ended in 2-2 Adeshina Tunmininu, a former player of Lagos based team, Dreamstars Ladies FC described the moment as a happy one as she has always been looking forward to score and help her team to win against Robo Queens FC.

” It a joyful moment for to score against them, I ginger myself for this game to do well, help my team to win but we will take draw like that” Tunmininu told Sports247.

Tunmininu, a player that who started her career in Lagos, at Dreamstars Ladies said there is special feeling for revenge on her mind anytime she is playing against Robo Queens, recalling her Dream Stars days when her team, DreamStars Ladies always lose to Robo Queens.

“Sure, I have it in my mind to revenge against Robo Queens FC, that anytime I played against Robo I will wants to score or even if I don’t score I will give my hundred percent to help my team to win and I am happy I score here today “, Tunmininu stated.

Her thought on what informs her choice of number of jersey as a defender, wearing number 9, the left back said its a number she loves naturally though she started her career as an outside left attacker but later converted to a defender.

” I just love wearing nine, the love for the number just comes naturally and its a been a lucky number for me, even as a defender even though I started as an outside left attacker” Tunmininu concluded.
