Paul Maduakor, the President of the Nigeria Amputee Football Federation (NAFF), has extended his Eid al Fitr greetings to the Muslim community and used the occasion to call for support for the national amputee football team, the Special Eagles.

In a heartfelt message, Maduakor congratulated the Muslim community on the successful completion of Ramadan and expressed joy at the unity within the sports industry. He highlighted the upcoming Nations Cup in Egypt, where the Special Eagles are set to represent Nigeria.
Maduakor seized the opportunity to appeal to Nigerians to support the team. “As the amputee players are preparing ahead of this nation this month Nations cup in Egypt, he has also used this opportunity to call on meaningful Nigeria with the heart of giving to see how they can come to the aid of them having a successful participation,” he said.
He acknowledged the support from the ministry but emphasized that the government alone cannot shoulder the responsibility. “I want to thank the ministry for their support but knowing fully well that only ministry cannot do it alone, government cannot do it alone,” he stated.
Maduakor stressed the need for emotional support for the Special Eagles, especially in light of the financial challenges that could potentially hinder their participation in the tournament. He concluded by urging everyone to extend their support, stating, “I know that this season is a season of celebration and giving so just call on everybody to support.”
