NAFF Kick for Love 2025: Bolaji Olaogun Praises Enhanced Coverage, Seeks Greater Training

Bolaji Olaogun, a standout player at this year’s Nigeria Amputee Football Federation Kick for Love 2025, shared his thoughts on the event and his experiences compared to previous editions.

Speaking with Sports247, he confirmed his participation in last year’s tournament and noted, “Yes, I was here.” When asked about improvements, he stated, “Yes, there’s a good improvement. Last year, there wasn’t too many cameras. But this time, there are lots of cameras. Even the one that was up there, like a copter, I love that one. Only that one gives me joy as I’m playing.”

Reflecting on his international experience, Bolaji added, “Yes, I went to Egypt. Oh boy, that Egypt was tough—our game, we need improvement. We need our players to come for regular training as well. Because that training used to help us well. Even the team in Turkey can look into our Nigerian game and find more players. I love that game for Egypt. We came fourth and qualified for World Cup in 2027.”

Looking ahead, he emphasized his personal goals: “For myself now, I need more training and focus so that I can help my teammates.” On the subject of future events, he shared his aspirations, “Next year’s event, I want it to be better than this year, I want it to keep improving. Only that drone flying on top makes me feel like I am playing in Europe. That’s what it means for me.”

Bolaji also expressed a desire for increased governmental support, noting, “Yes, we need that thing personal. We need the Nigerian Government to help us.”

When asked about his message to the president of the Amputee Football Federation, he said, “This our president, Mr. Paul has tried a lot. From my heart, I love that man. Even if he leaves us today, I will never forget that man. Seriously, this man, he tried a lot. Before he became the president of the amputee football federation, there are so many presidents that have occupied that position since I have been on the team, but nobody has done like this. He is hot.

He is trying his best. I want the government to support this man or any other person or people who can also support the Amputee Football Federation; let them support us so that this man will be encouraged. Mr. Paul is trying a lot,” Bolaji ended.
