Following his side’s Goalless (0-0) draw against Box 2 Box Fc, Coach of G12 FC, Christian Ikechukwu has admitted that his team is 60 percent ready for the Surulere league, even though he still aims to prepare his team strongly before the competition commences in February.
G12 Fc, who had defeated Jumez Fc, Soccer Warrior, and Dannaz Fc 7-3, 6-2, and 7-3 respectively in their previous friendly matches, were held to a barren draw (0-0) by Box 2 Box Fc.
Speaking with Sports 247 after the match, Coach of G12 Fc expressed his delight on his team not conceding a goal, unlike the previous friendly matches, where they always conceded, stating that they will continue to prepare more, ahead of the upcoming Surulere league, which commences on February.
“The game against Box 2 Box was highly tactical. The tempo and intensity of the game was so high. Both teams played well, defensively and offensively. Both teams lost many chances, which they ought to have converted. The game was tough as expected. It is like a “Lagos El Classico”.
“This is the only game in our friendly matches that we have played without conceeding and it is very good for us. This game will help us to prepare more.
“For my team (G12 Fc), I will say we are 60 percent ready for Surulere League and we still have two weeks or thereabout to prepare. I know that before the League starts, we will be fully prepared”, he admitted.
Coach Christian Ikechukwu Isiekwene will hope to lead his team to success when the Surulere league commences in February.
