Following his team’s impressive 2-0 win over Divine Football College at the Ekofootball Queens Championship, Coach of Nakamura FA, Diego Vianney Rotimi has stated that despite his team’s victory, they can still perform better than they did.
Nakamura FA won its opening match of the competition (Ekofootball Queens Championship) on Sunday at the Soccer Temple Stadium in Agege, Lagos State, when they defeated Divine Football FA 2-0, to ensure a dream start to the tournament.
Reacting with Sports247, after his team’s victory, Coach Rotimi stated that even though they won, they still need to work harder, admitting that their opponents were weak in the game, which his team took advantage of. He also admitted that his players could perform much better than this.
“Though we won today, we still need to work harder, work on a lot of things. Our opponents were weak in this game, so we took advantage of it and took our chances. To me, despite the victory, my players can do more than this”, he stated.
Coach Rotim’s side will hope to continue their winning momentum of registering a win in the first game when they execute subsequent matches in the competition.
