When I first came here, it was difficult for me to adapt in terms of language and tactical play of the team. The players must be fitter, aggressive and mobile in the Moroccan league. If you are a player and you cannot adapt to the Moroccan league, one would find it difficult to play in the league,”he said.
Abayomi disclosed that he was not a starting line up for his club at the beginning noted that with hardworking and determination,he was able to break the final list.
“Like I said I found it difficult to break into the first team because of the tactical play by the club.I am a player that always give my best and with time I was able to adapted to the club pattern and the coach began to use me on the starting line up,”he said.
Asked if Nigerian league is better than North African country, Abayomi quickly added that Nigerian league is good but Moroccan league is better in terms of facilities, technique of the game, television broadcast and officiating .
Commenting on the victories of Rivers United and Kwara United against Moroccan clubs at the CAF champions league and CAF Confederation over the weekend, Abayomi warned Nigerian club sides to double their effort if they want to qualify for the next stage.
“To be honest with you, it is not going to be easy for Nigerian club side but they can qualify if they are well determined, focused and aggressive with their opponents.I wish both clubs to get a good result in Morocco,”he said.
