Former Super Eagles midfielder, Mutiu Adepoju has charged players in the current Nigerian national team to always ensure they replicate the form they display with their clubs in action for the country.
The attacking midfielder, fondly called ‘Headmaster’ during his playing days, said in an interview with sports247.ng that national team players should bring their club form to the Eagles.
Speaking of his expectations ahead of resumption of camping by the Eagles, for the AFCON 2019 double qualifiers against Libya, Adepoju said the players should set high targets for themselves and the team.
He added: “I believe all the invites players know what is at stake. They all know what it takes to play for the national team.
“I expect them to bring their best to bear in the national team and do well when called upon to play for the Super Eagles, in the race to make next year’s Cup of Nations in Cameroon.”
