Former Nigeria Super Eagles and Real Sociedad attacking midfielder, Mutiu Adepoju (MON), has expressed his gratitude to the Ogiame Atuwatse III (CFR), the Olu of Warri, for his kindness during his visit to Warri.

Adepoju and his former national teammates honored the King in a veteran novelty football match at Nana College on Saturday.
“It was a great and memorable experience. From meeting the King to playing football to entertain him, it was heartwarming to see his passion for football and analytical skills. It was also wonderful to be among my ex-teammates and friends, playing football and having fun.”
Adepoju, who also played for Samsunspor (Turkey) and Al-Ittihad (Saudi Arabia), praised the people of Warri for their warm reception. “The hospitality was top-notch, thanks to the entire members of Chevron Allstars.”
Adepoju who scored the only goal that separated both sides also thanked Team INYC/Chief for a good match in the 3rd Coronation Veteran Novelty Match and appreciated Prince Godstime Emiko, Victor Ikpeba, Ogo Clarkson, and Anthony Sifo for their roles.
Other ex international who also played include Pastor Taribo West, Victor Ikpeba, Sam Sodje, Ifeanyi Ekwueme and Ifeanyi Udeze.
Adepoju wished the Warri Kingdom a successful coronation, which commences on Monday and ends on Sunday, with praise and worship.
