Khadijat Musbau of Lagos Seasiders and Aminu Ibrahim of Kano Pillars are the latest winners of most valuable player prizes at the ongoing National Handball League at Rowe Park Sports Centre, Yaba, Lagos.
At the end of matchday four, Musbau and Ibrahim were voted the most valuable players of the day by the organising committee, for which the stars got N10,000 each and plaques for their performances.
The days action saw Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Shooters clinch their first win in the second phase of the league.
COAS Shooters sank Plateau Vipers 28-10 while Safety Shooters shocked Owena Kings 26-22, after which Kada Stars defeated Prison Key Boys 33-30 and D’Defenders silenced Bornu Spiders 35-20.
Current table toppers, Niger United spanked Lagos Seasiders 36-31 while ace goalkeeper, Solomon Michael got the largest number of assists to help Kano Pillars sink Sokoto Rima Strikers 39-29.
For the women, Owena Queens beat Desert Queens 29-21 and Edo Dynamos eked out a 19-18 win over Kada Queens.
Defender Babes defeated Abia Valliants 30-23, Imo Grasshoppers lost 29-20 to Plateau Peacocks and Seasider Babes fell 30-23 against Safety Babes.
