Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia has described his brace of goals and 6-0 win for his side on Thursday as a good way to start 2019, sports247.ng reports.
It was Musa’s first match of the year with the club, and he was happy that they made the best of the King’s Cup fixture by dismantling lowly-rated Al-Jandal.
Musa admitted he was happy, after scoring twice for Al-Nassr in the round of 32 fixture, which saw him end a run of five games without a goal to his name.
In Thursday’s game, though, Musa struck first to double his side’s lead nine minutes after the break before completing scoring on 90 minutes.
Musa, who has now scored seven goals and contributed five assists since joining Al-Nassr from Leicester City in the summer, will now turn focus on next week’s league clash against Al-Faisaly.
The target for Al-Nassr would be to topple Al-Hilal at the summit of the Saudi League table, ahead of which Musa took to social media to hint a better things to come for him and his club.
“Good to start the year with a goal! We keep working hard till the end of the season. Well done mates,” Musa posted.
