Quick, smashing Speed, running with the ball on his stripe, and with incredible goal-scoring talent, 17 years of age, Anuoluwapo Adeyeye lightened up the just concluded Masterclass Talent Exhibition (MTE 2022) at the Legacy Pitch, National Stadium Lagos.
MTE 2022 exclusively sponsored by CM Sport Management Limited in consultation with Fantaxtik Sport Marketing & Management Limited and facilitated by Great Olympics Academy, saw over two hundred young players across Nigeria and West Africa participated in the ten days event. And Anuoluwapo Adeyeye was one of the players who journeyed from Ekiti State to participate in one of the biggest football scouting programs in Africa.
Largely unknown, Anu, as he was fondly called, was one of the sixteen players selected from the two-day screening exercise and stayed on for the one-week exhibition games. During the screening exercise, Anu displayed skills just enough to make the cut. “Not even the scouts on the ground knew we had one incredible talent on our hand,” said Head Scout, Salau Abiodun.
Anu was instrumental to the high-scoring Great Olympic side (GO FA) that scored 12 goals in four games during the exhibition games. Anu scored 3 goals and 5 assists to emerge joined highest goal scorer with another great talent in the team Adamolekun Paul; as GO FA won three of their four matches, scoring an average of 3 goals per match.
Anu was the propelling force starting most of the attacks for his team, switching from the outside right to left and sometimes as the center forward. Anu displayed such unique skills that most defenders found it very difficult to contain. With such smashing speed and very quick in cutting diagonally into the eighteen-yard box and exuding so much confidence on the ball to lay passes that made it so easy for his teammates to score.
“Only very few players like Lionel Messi can run so fast and dribble with such speed with the ball on his stripe. But Anu does it so well and with so much confidence that allowed him to see loopholes to make killer passes or to score by himself from the box eighteen,” said China, the team coach of the only team that defeated GO FA 4 – 2 in the exhibition games.
Anuoluwapo Adeyeye left everyone spellbound and without a doubt that he is the next big talent for Nigeria
Anu’s unique style of switching the ball from left to right in full swing, and playing perfectly with both legs could make him an instant hit in Europe football leagues. Again, Anu releases bullet shots from time to time with two of those shots hitting the upright during their last exhibition game. He was such an exciting player to watch.
Charles Nwachukwu, CEO of CM Sport Management Limited and a registered Player’s Intermediary selected Anu and other four talents, which he will be introducing to some of the top youth teams in Europe, in the next few months. Below are the selected players:
